International Programs Office

student Sarah Maher studied at the Università Carlo Cattaneo (LIUC) in Italy– Fall 2009Welcome to the International Programs Office, home of the Faculty of Business Administration’s international initiatives.

We live in exciting times. In the last 60 years business has gone global. Since the 1950s, international trade has grown nearly seven times faster than world production. Over the last 20 years foreign direct investment has grown three times faster than international trade. These investment activities - outsourcing, joint ventures, franchises and any other enterprise involving management of assets in another country - have created a high demand for graduates with international business skills. Even those companies not directly involved in international business have to take into account the interconnectedness of the global economic and business environments.

The Faculty of Business Administration has responded to these changes with its own ambitious international program initiatives. Many of these are already in place, but program development is ongoing. Whether you are a potential or current Memorial business student, Canadian or from overseas, we believe you will find here a unique range of opportunities that will enable all students to develop the essential understanding of the dynamic global business environment in a way that reflects their own individual interests and ambitions.
