International Bachelor of Business Administration

international-bbaMemorial’s international bachelor of business administration (iBBA) is one of only three such programs in Canada. This 120-credit hour (40-course) degree produces business professionals who are capable of performing successfully across international borders and within diverse cultural environments.

The iBBA program contains four key components:

  • Core instruction in fundamental business skills.
  • International business courses dealing with various types of international business activity (e.g. finance politics, law, and economics).
  • Non-business cross-cultural skills that provide both a global and regional (e.g. Asia-Pacific, Europe or Latin America) perspective and typically includes study of a foreign language.
  • A mandatory semester of cross-cultural study experience (CCSE), spent in the student’s chosen region of interest. A range of study locations are available in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Latin America.

Admission to the IBBA program is competitive and selective. The IBBA consists of 30 credit hours (10 courses) that are completed in the initial year at Memorial University and 15 credit hours (five courses) in each of the Academic Terms. You are also required to complete a mandatory cross-cultural study experience (CCSE) at one of our partner institutions.
