You should arrive at least two days prior to the beginning of classes. For students who are living on-campus, move-in dates are generally during the two days prior to the beginning of the semester. Many students choose to arrive three to seven days in advance if they are living off-campus. This additional time allows you to overcome your jet lag, become oriented with St. John's and get settled into your accommodations.
If you are booking a return ticket, book your return flight for the day after the last day of exams. Booking your flight home too early is not considered an acceptable excuse to re-schedule a final exam.
When booking your flight to Newfoundland, make sure you choose St. John’s, Newfoundland (YYT) and not Saint John, New Brunswick (YSJ). If you travel there by mistake, you will have to take another plane or take a long bus ride and a ferry boat to Newfoundland. We do not want this to happen to you!
