The Faculty of Business Administration provides a referral service for students in need of academic tutoring for undergraduate business courses. This service also allows undergraduate or graduate students to earn extra money by becoming tutors.
Please note that tutors are not hired by, nor do they work for, the Faculty of Business Administration. The Faculty of Business Administration is not responsible for the exchange of payment and acts in a referral capacity only. Students are advised to seek assistance from his or her professor before requesting external assistance.
We are happy to act as a liaison for students looking for extra help in undergraduate business courses.
Once a student fills out an application form, we will check our database for an appropriate tutor in the desired subject matter. The student may then contact that tutor directly.
It is the student's responsibility to pay the tutor prior to each session. The suggested rate is $15 per hour but the rate charged is left to the discretion of the tutor and is to be agreed upon before the sessions take place.

We are looking for students who are interested in helping their peers in a number of different undergraduate business courses. To be considered as a peer tutor, you must have demonstrated a mastery of subject material in an academic setting.
It is the student's responsibility to communicate with the tutor and ensure that the fee is paid prior to the session. Our role is merely to facilitate a connection between students looking for assistance and students interested in tutoring.

Professors may not register as tutors and teaching assistants (TAs) may not tutor the class(es) for which they are currently a TA.

Students must pay the tutor directly. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Tutors are not permitted to write papers, complete assignments or do any research for students. This is plagiarism and will result in immediate removal from the database.
It is the tutor's responsibility to notify the Peer Help Centre of any changes to his or her contact information, availability and the courses that he or she tutors.
