Do you know a business leader who deserves to be recognized for his or her achievements? Is there a student in your life whose achievements make a difference among their peers or in their community?

The Faculty of Business Administration and the Gardiner Centre recognize the province’s best and brightest in business through its annual awards program, bestowing awards for alumni impact, entrepreneurial activities and student citizenship to deserving individuals each year.

Nominations for our 2020 awards are now closed.

Alumni Honour Award
This award recognizes the achievements of graduates of the Faculty of Business Administration who have achieved excellence in their business careers and have contributed to the reputation of the faculty, university and/or the community as a whole.

P.J. Gardiner Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year Award
This award celebrates the achievements and entrepreneurial spirit of an individual who is strengthening our province’s economy and business community as well as serving as a role model for today’s youth.

Dr. Robert Crosbie Undergraduate Student Citizenship Award
Dr. Victor Young Graduate Student Citizenship Award

These awards recognize the achievements of an undergraduate or graduate student in the Faculty of Business Administration who has greatly contributed to student life, the faculty, the university and their community through volunteerism during their business studies and has demonstrated the ability to apply academic experience in a real-world context.

Advisory Board Research Impact Award

The Advisory Board Research Impact Award highlights business research at Memorial that has real-world implications. The award is selected by the faculty’s advisory board who are leaders in the business community.

In this innovative approach, the advisory board evaluates the research impact on teaching, practice or policy, and the extent to which the research could impact their own business practice. It also gives the advisory board an opportunity to understand what we do here as researchers and ensures we are connecting to the community.
