Sumaiya Akter is a second-year MA student majoring in Economics at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has been working as Research Assistant with the Collaborative Applied Research in Economics at MUN. Sumaiya holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in Finance from University of Dhaka. She has passed the CFA Level I exam and has also accomplished International Economic Policy course from George Mason University. Sumaiya has experiences of working in Treasury Division of Bank, Investment Management Company, and Stock Exchange where she was engaged with capital market research. She is a passionate volunteer and is optimistic about impact investment. Sumaiya believes working with The Fund will broaden her realm of knowledge regarding capital markets and will help her sharpen professional skills while expanding her network.
