Featuring small classes, experiential learning opportunities and a variety of teaching approaches, Memorial’s MBA offers experience beyond the classroom

Master of Business Administration in Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (MBA-SEE)

Memorial’s 12-month MBA-SEE is the only MBA program in Canada purposefully designed to prepare students to become a new kind of leader for a new way of doing business – one that is based on the three pillars of sustainability: people, planet, and profits.

With a focus on preparing business leaders who are committed to sustainable and social business practices, and the practical experience of a four-month internship, the MBA-SEE allows students to gain business skills through the lens of sustainable and social enterprise and develop the necessary skills to present sustainable thinking to business leaders and funders. Every course helps students develop a keen understanding of the strategic context of social enterprise and social entrepreneurship. Students enter the MBA-SEE as part of a cohort, providing them with a shared experience that develops and solidifies a professional network to last a lifetime.

Master of Employment Relations (MER)

Memorial’s MER offers a joint degree program that features perspectives from both the faculties of business and humanities and social sciences. Our MER program will help you to effectively manage the relationships at your organization, providing advanced-level study of all aspects of the employment relationship as well as insight into the history and sociology of work cultures.

Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Management

Memorial offers the only M.Sc. in management in Atlantic Canada. This research-focused program will help you develop rigorous research skills suitable to careers in academia or in the public, private or non-profit sectors. You’ll develop an important and versatile skillset that also prepares you to enter a PhD in management program at the Faculty of Business Administration or elsewhere.

PhD in Management

Our PhD program prepares students for research and teaching careers in academia as well as research-oriented positions in industry.

Students complete two years of coursework exploring state-of-the-art research in their selected area of study. They also undertake an independent research project during the first summer and a comprehensive examination after coursework is completed.

Students are then ready to undertake independent, original research during the dissertation to make a significant contribution to knowledge in their fields of study.
