Graduate Exchange: Application Process
- Fall semester exchange: Feb. 15
- Winter semester exchange: Sept. 15
Eligibility for Exchange
International exchanges through the Faculty of Business Administration are open to students in the 2-year master of business administration (MBA) program. To be eligible, MBA students are required to have completed 50% of their program by the time they participate in an exchange. Exemptions count towards these 10 courses.
- Academic performance: To be eligible to participate in an exchange semester, graduate students must demonstrate a 70% weighted average (40% cumulative undergraduate average plus 60% cumulative graduate average).
- Demonstrated interest: Students are required to provide a detailed essay explaining why they have selected a particular exchange location. Written summaries of the country, school, courses and preparation for exchange must be included.
Completed application forms should be submitted to the IPO in-person (BN-2027) or via email. Students are encouraged to contact the IPO for guidance in advance of applying. Applicants will be notified of their application decision at their @mun.ca email address approximately two to three weeks after the applicable deadline.
Late applications received may be considered on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability and partner school deadlines. Connect with the IPO prior to submitting a late application.
Questions may be directed to email@example.com.
Successful applicants will be emailed exchange acceptance and deposit forms from the IPO. Forms must be completed and returned to the IPO no later than one week after notification.
Once completed forms are returned to the IPO, selected applicants will then be nominated to the appropriate partner institution. The partner will then contact the student with instructions on applying to that institution, among other important information.
The cost of studying abroad can be minimized with financial assistance. Graduate students participating in an exchange may be eligible for some scholarships. Visit the School of Graduate Studies’ awards and scholarship database for more details.
